It is essential for calcium absorption, bone and teeth mineralisation (important for the foetus as well as the mother), supports and regulates immune function including helping the body to fight off cancer, and suppresses autoimmune conditions like MS and rheumatoid arthritis, it gives support to the hormonal systems and helps to protect the cardiovascular system.

Vitamin D3 is formed in the body from natural sunlight, however most of us do not get enough of the sunlight we need, and especially not in the winter, but autumn and spring can be an issue too.
